Model 5400/5700 -- Wood Carriage House, Cedar Face, Insulated
Construction
- The wide tongue-and-groove cedar boards and smooth cedar accent battens are laminated to the steel base sections with high performance adhesives to create the carriage house design.
- The door face is manufactured unfinished for field painting or staining.
- 7/16” thick cedar accent battens bonded to sections utilizing high performance adhesives and vacuum pressure.
- Optional windows are available in clear glass, glue chip pattern or seeded glass, available in the top two sections of door
- White painted 20-gauge end stiles are standard.
- Concealed steel plates run continuously from top to bottom of each section for fastening hardware.
- Heavy duty hardware.
- One set of stamped decorative hardware ( 4 strap hinges and 2 handles) is standard for all doors. Optional Barcelona or Wrought Iron designs replicate an old-world look.
- Bottom weather seal utilizes an aluminum retainer and extruded virgin vinyl.
Insulation -- Model 5400
- The steel sandwich base sections have a CFC free polystyrene core, followed by 7/16”x 3 5/32" Western red cedar tongue-and-groove face boards with Cedar accent boards.
- Insulating R-value of 9.06

- The steel sandwich base sections have a CFC free urethane core, followed by 7/16” x 3 5/32" Western red cedar tongue-and-groove face boards with Cedar accent boards.
- Insulating R-value of 18.03
